Know where the images will live
A product page, campaign banner and vertical social post may need different compositions. Plan those formats before production so important details do not fall outside a crop.
Choose what needs to be visible
List the product details that help someone make a decision. Shape, material, scale and finish may each need their own view. Make those needs part of the shot list.
Create a visual reference
A moodboard should explain lighting, background and styling choices. It is a direction for the team, not a request to reproduce another photographer’s image.
Define the delivery
Agree the image count, file formats, retouching scope and review process. Clear delivery expectations make it easier to finish the work consistently.
